When we eloped, we didn’t have someone on our team to help us build a vision, prioritize our experience, or document those memories. That's our only regret.

Our philosophy:
We’re Sam + Kyle, a married photography team based in the PNW and fellow elope-ees.
We know exactly how it feels to want a day that’s intentional, but not quite knowing where to start.
When we eloped there weren’t any real resources for couples who didn’t see their values reflected back in the wedding industry.
Since then, we’ve built a business that specializes in adventure elopements, and helped couples plan unique days in beautiful places.
From choosing the perfect spot to the paperwork, we’re stoked to share everything we wish someone had told us.

We called them about a month before the actual wedding day and they were always thorough, organized, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and sweet in our meetings. We chose to do a couple hikes in Olympic National Park and a ceremony by Lake Crescent. At first we had some apprehension with spending our wedding day with a stranger, but by the time of our elopement, Sam and Kyle were our collaborators, planners, hype team, and at times our confidants. Their direction allowed for a perfect mix of intimate and silly moments and drop dead gorgeous and epic shots. They truly captured the magic of the day and added to it with their own story and presence."

"Right away, I felt that they understood my feelings and MY vision for a perfect day. I knew after that call they were the photographers for our day but what I soon learned is that they become so much more than photographers. As I would tell people, they are "My everything!" They created timelines, had regular communication and check-in points, checklists, locations, vendors lists, etc.We found that they are actually built-in event planners but are too humble to say so :) Our day turned out spectacular! Holy cow! What an incredible experience! Where do I even begin? Well, before we even found Sam & Kyle, I had lost that engagement bliss that I saw in all of my friends, and that was horribly devastating to me. Wedding planning is STRESSFUL!
Right off the bat, Sam & Kyle truly do become your instant BFFs and ultimate hype crew! They took the time to get to know us and our story, and they showed a lot of interest in hearing about what our intentions were for our big day. Instantly, Sam was so excited and willing to help us out, even if that meant we would have gone a different direction. Everything about them felt so genuine and meaningful. I knew that if we hired them, the whole experience would be perfect.
Sam & Kyle think of everything under the sun to ensure that the day runs smoothly and they provide you with lots of information on vendors and local accommodations. Throughout the day, they did a great job at making us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera and they really encouraged us to take in each and every moment. Everything about the day was so romantic and intimate, and that was exactly what we wanted.

HOW DO WE MAKE THIS OFFICIAL?
YES! Adventure elopements can include guests—but we always encourage couples to keep the ceremony group intimate (around 12-15 people max). This helps protect public lands and keeps the focus on your experience.
Couples with a larger guest count often choose to have a handful of loved ones at the ceremony, then celebrate with a larger group at their lodging afterward.
Some also decide to split their celebration into two days—one just for them, one with family & friends. Your elopement should feel intentional and meaningful—so whether it’s just the two of you or includes your closest people, we’ll help you craft a day that honors your love your way.
CAN YOU HAVE GUESTS AT YOUR ELOPEMENT?
For a chill and truly intentional planning process, we recommend booking at least 6 months to a year in advance—this gives you the best access to locations, vendors, and permits. That said, we’ve helped couples pull off stunning elopements in as little as two weeks—but with a few trade-offs.

An adventure elopement is an intentional way of getting married—focused entirely on your experience, your connection, and your version of adventure. It doesn’t have to mean summiting mountains at sunrise or trekking deep into the back country (though it totally can). It’s about choosing a place and experience that feels like you. Whether that’s reading your vows in a mossy old-growth forest, on a windy coastal cliff, or by a quiet alpine lake, the magic of an adventure elopement is that it’s deeply personal, wildly freeing, and centered on what truly matters.
