You’re planning the most incredible elopement on the Oregon Coast, so we’re not about to let you stay somewhere that doesn’t fit the vibe, or wrecks your timeline having you drive an hour (or more) to your locations.
We’ve lived and worked up and down the Oregon Coast for years and know the “locals only” coves you won’t find on AllTrails, and we also know what makes for the perfect stay for an Oregon Coast elopement.
But, instead of giving you an endlessly long list of random Airbnbs, we’ve created something a little more *curated* to help you find the perfect place to stay while eloping on the Oregon Coast.
We’re Sam & Kyle, your Oregon Coast elopement photographers specializing in thoughtfully designed adventure elopements.
After years of living and working up and down the Oregon Coast, we know where to find the secluded coves, exceptional stays, and local gems that make a trip feel unforgettable.
We help couples trade cookie-cutter wedding traditions for an experience that feels entirely their own, with expert planning, incredible photography, and the kind of details that make the whole day feel effortless.

We lived on the Northern Coast for the better part of 3 years and know this stretch of the coast intimately. In terms of places to stay, proximity to vendors, and the least amount of travel time from Portland, this is the best place to elope on the Oregon Coast.
Manzanita, Cannon Beach, and Arch Cape are our top picks! They have the cutest places to stay, are central to some of the best beaches and the coastal towns have such a vibe and there is sooo much to explore.
TBH, Cannon tends to be really crowded in the summer, so we really prefer the Manzanita area where it tends to be a little more chill.
Personally, we’d skip Rockaway and Seaside. They are sooo crowded and just feel really touristy without the charm. Cannon absolutely gets slammed, but still maintains that coastal, small town, vibe without feeling totally overrun like Seaside and Rockaway do.

If you’re going to stay on the coast, why not lean into the whole coastal vibe? This lighthouse-inspired stay in Manzanita caught our eye, and the location puts you in a great area for exploring the northern coast.
If we were eloping on the Oregon Coast, this is where we’d stay! A hot tub + sauna AND it’s super cute?!?! Arch Cape is also one of our favorite areas to look at when you want to be close to the coast without planting yourself right in the middle of the summer crowds.
Want to explore beyond the immediate Cannon Beach and Manzanita area? We love where the northern coast morphs into the central coast. It’s less crowded and the beaches are so beautiful. Also, imagine sharing a first look down at the river and ending your day star-gazing in the woodfired hot tub overlooking the river.

The central coast is where you’ve got everything from dramatic headlands and enormous sea stacks to tucked-away beaches, forested trails, and some of the most ridiculously beautiful coastal scenery in Oregon.
The catch? These locations aren’t all right next to each other, and the crowds can b pretty crazy. If you’re dreaming of exploring Cape Kiwanda and Neskowin, we’d look at the northern end of this stretch. If Thor’s Well, Yachats, or Heceta Head are calling your name, staying farther south will make a whole lot more sense.
And please, as your Oregon Coast elopement photographers, for the love of your timeline, don’t plan to bounce between all of them in a single day. The coast is best enjoyed when you have time to stop, explore, and take in the scenery without constantly checking the clock.

We love Neskowin if you’re after a quieter home base with access to some beautiful coastal scenery. Lincoln City and Pacific City give you more options for places to stay, food, and other conveniences, which can be nice if you want a little more going on around you.
If you’re focusing on the southern end of the central coast, Florence is worth considering. Just make sure you’re accounting for the drive to your actual ceremony locations, especially if you’re planning to explore farther north.\
Do not stay in Depo Bay. Great for whale watching, but it feels more touristy than some of the smaller coastal communities, and we’d rather stay somewhere that feels a little more tucked away.

Cozy, updated and right on the beach giving you easy, and more private access.
Private hot tub and super close to some excellent beaches. Also, it’s so freaking cute!
This cabin sits right on a coastal creek and is right across from the ocean. You could walk down the path and be at the prettiest section of the beach. How perfect is that??
We love a good A Frame, and cute stays in Florence can be a little hard to come by. Not only is it so cute, but it also has a fire pit and a private hot tub.

This is where we’d send you if you’re dreaming of rugged sea stacks, dramatic cliffs, windswept beaches, and stretches of coastline that feel a little more wild and rugged. This area tends to be a little drier and warmer than the Northern Coast.
You’ve got Bandon’s iconic rock formations, the incredible scenery around Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, and plenty of opportunities to explore beyond the beach itself. You can even build a trip that includes time among the Redwoods if you’re up for venturing inland.
But here’s the thing: the southern coast is a BIG area to cover. Bandon and Brookings aren’t exactly neighbors, and the drive between locations can eat up a good chunk of your day.
If you’re planning to visit multiple areas, we recommend choosing your priorities first and building your lodging plans around them.
Brookings and Gold Beach are excellent options if you’re planning to explore the southernmost stretch of the coast, especially around Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. They give you a good starting point for exploring the area’s beaches, sea stacks, and forested trails.
Bandon is a great choice if you’re focusing on the northern end of the southern coast and want to explore its famous rock formations and nearby beaches. Port Orford is another option if you’re after a smaller coastal town and want to stay closer to the scenery around Cape Blanco and the surrounding coastline.

One thing to know before you commit: lodging options become more spread out as you head south, so it’s worth booking early if you have your heart set on a particular kind of stay. And don’t assume you’ll be able to grab dinner at any hour in every little coastal town. Check restaurant hours and have a backup plan, especially outside the busy summer season

Top pick because of the insane proximity to the beach and stunning sea stacks. Also, we love that there’s a pool table in the living room.
Switching up the scenery a bit for something a little more forest-y! This is perfect if you want some variation without sacrificing distance to beach locations.
Another coastal A Frame that would be so perfect for a coastal elopement! Love that this has a private sauna as well, because is there a better way to start your Oregon coast elopement?
A hot tub that overlooks the ocean and a private fire pit?! Perfect stay!
This is an obvious cool find and perfect if you want some unique forest fairy vibes!

Your lodging isn’t just where you crash after a long day of exploring. Depending on how you plan your elopement, it might be where you get ready, have your first look, share a champagne toast, or spend a slow morning together before heading out to the coast.

Honestly, there’s no single best town to stay. It depends on where you want to explore, what kind of experience you’re dreaming up, and whether you’d rather spend your evening wandering a tiny coastal town or hiding away in a cabin with a view.
